The Keyser Police Civil Service Commission is accepting applications for the Keyser Police Department. Previously certified law enforcement officers are eligible to receive a one-time $2,500 sign-on bonus.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • No criminal history
  • No illegal drug history
  • Pass a background check, drug screen, and polygraph
  • Successfully complete an examination by a physician and psychologist
  • Pass a physical fitness assessment, oral board and/or exam administered by the Civil Service Commission
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Become certified through the West Virginia Law Enforcement Academy
  • Able to work all shifts, holidays, and weekends
